Arriving in India in the early days of the Raj, Amy Spencer realises the stuffy world of the British Army wives is not for her. Taking tea and playing croquet hold a little appeal for a young woman entranced with sensual delights on offer elsewhere.
She is shown places where the other women dare not venture – where Tantric mysteries and the Kama Sutra come alive. And it’s only a matter of time before she’s besotted by the charms of Ravinder, the Maharaja’s exquisitely handsome son, who will show her the pathway to absolute pleasure.
